Apart from the security issues, we are conscious of how annoying it can be to receive unsolicited e-mail from people you do not know. Gourmet Cookware does not pass on customer details to third parties for marketing purposes.

 The only information collected is that given at the time of ordering, and  that is necessary to fulfill customers orders. This information is collected 
  lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation (herein referred to as “The GDPR”) which comes into effect on 25th   May 2018. We are committed to keeping buyers’ personal information confidential.This information is not passed on to third parties other than to process your order and for financial accounting purposes or to meet other legal obligations,

We may share buyer personal information with our suppliers, service providers and other contractors  to fulfil orders buyers placed with us. We will retain your personal data for a long as neccessary to fulfil the purpose we collected it for, including for the purpose of satisfying any legal and accounting or reporting requirements.

We may hold details of your orders long enough to ensure that we can help with any queries regarding the product or suppliers warranty enquiries. Therefore we may retain order data until the end of the manufacutures warranty period.

 For certain purchases, we may need to verify your identity with a trusted third party for fraud prevention or age verfication purposes, in order to fulfil our legal obligations.

Data Subject Access Requests

Under The GDPR buyers are entitled to obtain from us  a copy of the data held concerning them and to have any inaccuracies in the data rectified. We are obliged to provide this data to within 1 calendar month of the request and free of charge. However we have the right to refuse or charge for requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive and repetitive. We will ask for proof of identity before providing or updating any personal information we hold about you and any legitimate reason we are unable to fulfil any requests and why.

We do not store credit card details 

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.

We also accept online payments by PayPal if you prefer not to use your credit card every time you shop online.

You can also use the Gourmet Cookware Web site as a catalogue and make your purchase by telephone as we also accept payment by cheque using regular mail. . For your security and protection we don't accept credit card payments over the telephone.
